[Picture of Facility] The School of Medicine at Amarillo began in 1972 with a family practice residency program providing medical graduates with specialty training in this primary care field. Each year the School of Medicine, in cooperation with the local medical community, provides clinical medical education to third and fourth year medical students through the departments of family practice, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics and surgery.
The School of Medicine currently offers residency training in the primary care areas of pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, and family practice. Health care services are also provided through the departments at various clinics.
