AMARILLO VA INVITES THE COMMUNITY TO SALUTE HOSPITALIZED VETERANS

The Amarillo VA Health Care System invites the public to participate in open-house activities February 14-18 during the observance of the National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans. The program will be on February 14th at 2:00 p.m. in the Nursing Home Care Unit, 2nd Floor Dining Room, located at 6010 Amarillo Blvd., West. The Salute gives everyone a chance to let those veterans who have given the nation so much know they are not forgotten. Visitors will be able to learn more about the important role volunteers play at the facility throughout the year and perhaps pursue volunteer opportunities themselves. We hope that individuals and groups will join us to give special recognition to these men and women. Anyone wishing to donate valentines or plan a hospital visit should contact Christina Frohwein, Chief, Community Resource Service Office at 354-7811 by February 11th.
